I pressed save and lost my attachment

Hopefully the search engines find this an make it easier for you than it was for me. There are a lot of scoogie explanations out there.

So, you opened a document from e-mail, started editing it only to forget that it was in e-mail and not saved to your system. You pressed save, closed the program and then scratched you head wondering where the hell your work had gone.

Windows (Vista) saves these to a temp file  C:\Users\%username%\appdata\local\temp   you should be able to fish around here an find it. If you cannot find the appdata folder, you may have to change the view settings to show hidden files and folder. Google "show hidden files and folder" followed by your operating system version to get exact instructions.

Alternately, you could re-open and attachment, the use the "Save As" function so that it will show you the path for the particular system you are working on.

Netbooks aren't really netbooks any more

The term netbook came from the fact that these machines, in the beginning, ran a skeleton OS and had such a small amount of storage and and memory that all you could really do is surf the net and do some basic word processing. "Netbooks" now come with hundreds of gigs of storage, tonnes of RAM and full Windows operating systems. The term ultralight laptop, as was used in the past seems more appropriate again.

Anyway.....   just a quick thought.    MP  - Aug 25 2009 -

Cell Phone's and Data Plans are financially crippling the younger generation

Phone plans in Canada are rediculously priced and because young people feel compelled to have these devices, these costs are taking away from their real ability to save money and earn equity. Someone who has an iPhone in Canada, and takes advantage of most of the "fun" features is looking at paying $100 or more per month. I find this insane. $100 each month is a large portion of a first mortgage. How many young people are out there now that have an iPhone, but don't drive because they can't afford a car? I can tell you it is a great deal and they don't realize the job opportunities they may be missing because of their inability to travel quickly.

Wake up! The phone corporations are holding you back and to some degree controlling you because of your inability to go 5 minutes without a damn tweet.
